Villa Serego Alighieri

Dante Alighieri spent several years of his exile in Verona. His son Peter was enthralledby the beauty of the city and its magnificent countryside very reminiscent of Tuscany. He decided to stay and buy the land in Casal dei Ronchi Gargagnago in 1353, in the heart of historic Valpolicella.
The house and grounds, after 21 generations, are still owned by Count Serego Alighieri, direct descendants of the poet.
Today the villa is immersed in the vineyards of Valpolicella, it coexists with the traditional character of a large wine farm with a lodge for the reception of guests.
